YUKI, the cat with hearts

Meet Yuki, the new addition to our ‘pride’.  We now have a total of five cats, and my husband is just about to kill me.  But I just couldn’t help myself when I first laid eyes on him. I was so smitten! Or should I say, skitten? Har har. So I just had to bring him home. (No, I didn’t kidnap him. He was abandoned by his mom.)

Could you seriously say no to this fellow with the weird spot on the face? Which, upside down, is actually a…

…heart! He also wears his other heart on his… side.

He’s gotten used to our house and has become “at home” as you can see. We are slowly introducing him to the other canine and feline members of the household. Hopefully, they’ll be getting along just fine.

The Makeshift Bar

If I were to make a bar, it would be informal, uncomplicated and unpretentious. Maybe like one of these:

1.  Covering an old table with stylish fabric will make the bar look more “high end”.

2. A faux croc leather tray is a pretty catchall for this fine collection.

3. An old wire basket is also a rustic but pretty alternative.

4. Finally, the homeowner of this house simply uses the kitchen counter as a makeshift bar…

Orange You Glad?

What do Halloween, safety and the Netherlands have in common?  That wonderful color, orange!  Orange is also the most sacred color of Hinduism, the color that represents gluttony and the birth color of Thai people born on Thursdays. (This has been another set of useless information brought to you by moi. :))

Food for Thought:

Where does the violet tint end and the orange tint begin? Distinctly we see the difference of the colors, but where exactly does the one first blending enter into the other. So with sanity and insanity.
